  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for a tech 
  1.3             center in Fergus Falls. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [TECH CENTER; FERGUS FALLS.] 
  1.6      $80,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2002 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the board of trustees of the Minnesota state 
  1.8   colleges and universities for a joint grant to the Fergus Falls 
  1.9   community college and independent school district No. 544, 
  1.10  Fergus Falls, to plan and implement pilot programs in the 
  1.11  combined tech center of the Fergus Falls community college and 
  1.12  the Fergus Falls school district.  Of this amount, $15,000 is 
  1.13  for a facility use study, $15,000 is for curriculum development, 
  1.14  $10,000 is for computer connections between the college and 
  1.15  school district, and $40,000 is for pilot programs to begin in 
  1.16  the 2001-2002 school year.  This appropriation is available 
  1.17  until June 30, 2003.
