  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; creating an employment 
  1.3             option for persons committed to a sexual psychopathic 
  1.4             personality treatment center; proposing coding for new 
  1.5             law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 246B. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [246B.05] [EMPLOYMENT OPTION.] 
  1.8      The commissioner of human services shall develop an 
  1.9   employment option for persons committed to a sexual psychopathic 
  1.10  personality treatment center in order for patients to contribute 
  1.11  to their cost of care in the center.  The employment may include 
  1.12  work maintaining the center or work that is brought to the 
  1.13  center by an outside source.  The earnings generated must be 
  1.14  divided between the inmate and the center, in an effort to 
  1.15  reduce state costs.
