  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing conveyance of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Hennepin county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; HENNEPIN COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Hennepin county may convey to 
  1.11  the United States of America, acting through the United States 
  1.12  Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of the Interior, the 
  1.13  tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in 
  1.14  paragraph (c). 
  1.15     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.16  attorney general. 
  1.17     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Hennepin county 
  1.18  and is described as: 
  1.19     (1) Lot 13, Auditors Subdivision 278, Hennepin county, 
  1.20  Minnesota (parcel number 23 027 24 14 0001); and 
  1.21     (2) that part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest 
  1.22  Quarter of Section 12, Township 27, Range 24, lying easterly of 
  1.23  Lot 59, Auditors Subdivision Number 205, and lying southwesterly 
  1.24  of Parcel 13 as shown on Minnesota department of transportation 
  1.25  right-of-way plat numbered 27-4 (parcel number 12 027 24 34 
  2.1   0001). 
  2.2      (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.3   management interests would best be served if the parcels were 
  2.4   conveyed to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.
