A bill for an act
relating to sales and use tax; providing sales tax exemptions for construction of
certain publicly owned facilities in the city of Princeton; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2006, section 297A.71, by adding subdivisions.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 297A.71, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

in and equipment incorporated into the construction and expansion of a wastewater
treatment facility, including construction of a phosphorous reduction facility, in the city
of Princeton are exempt.

the day following final enactment and before ....., .....

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 297A.71, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Materials and supplies used in and
equipment incorporated into the construction of a public safety facility to house both
police and fire services in the city of Princeton are exempt.
