  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to medical assistance; providing a rate 
  1.3             increase for a nursing home in Martin county; 
  1.4             appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2000, 
  1.5             section 256B.434, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 256B.434, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 4c.  [FACILITY RATE INCREASES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 
  1.10  2001.] For the rate year beginning July 1, 2001, a nursing 
  1.11  facility in Martin county licensed as of March 1, 2001, for 113 
  1.12  beds shall receive an increase of $3 in each case mix payment 
  1.13  rate.  The increases under this subdivision shall be added 
  1.14  following the determination under this chapter of the payment 
  1.15  rate for the rate year beginning July 1, 2001, and shall be 
  1.16  included in the facility's total payment rates for the purposes 
  1.17  of determining future rates under this section or any other 
  1.18  section. 
  1.19     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.20     $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.21  commissioner of human services for the biennium beginning July 
  1.22  1, 2001, for the purposes of section 1.
