  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public officials; prohibiting former 
  1.3             legislators, constitutional officers, commissioners, 
  1.4             and certain deputies and assistants from lobbying the 
  1.5             legislature or administrative agencies for one year 
  1.6             after leaving office; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.7             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 10A. 
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  [10A.035] [PUBLIC OFFICIAL; LOBBYIST 
  1.10  RESTRICTION.] 
  1.11     For one calendar year after leaving office, a public 
  1.12  official as defined in section 10A.01, subdivision 18, paragraph 
  1.13  (a), (b), or (d), may not act as a lobbyist who attempts to 
  1.14  influence legislative or administrative action.
