A bill for an act
relating to human services; authorizing a supplementary services rate for mental
health facilities in Winona County and Steele County; amending Minnesota Statutes
2022, section 256I.05, by adding subdivisions.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 256I.05, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

Notwithstanding the
provisions of subdivisions 1a and 1c, beginning July 1, 2023, a county agency shall negotiate
a supplementary services rate in addition to the monthly room and board rate specified in
subdivision 1, not to exceed $750 per month, including any legislatively authorized
inflationary adjustments, for a housing support provider located in Winona County that
operates a permanent supportive housing facility with 20 one-bedroom apartments for adults
with long-term homeless and long-term mental health needs.
