relating to arts and culture; appropriating money for the Board of the Arts;
proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 129D.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

CULTURAL HERITAGE FUND.

new text begin Of the total resources available in the arts and cultural heritage fund, 50 percent each
fiscal year is appropriated to the Board of the Arts for purposes of this chapter. These
funds must be distributed in the same ratio as the 2008-2009 biennial budget program
appropriations to operations and services, grant programs, and regional arts councils. If the
appropriation for either year is insufficient, the appropriation for the other year is available.
