A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; requiring commissioner of transportation to establish
guidelines for highway construction project information signs; proposing coding
for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 160.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin The commissioner of transportation shall develop and implement guidelines for the
design, legend content, and placement of information signs for use on or near highway
construction, maintenance, or improvement projects that the commissioner deems to be
prominent. To the extent practicable, the information signs must display information
about the project, including the type of project and planned completion season or month.
The signs may display additional information about the project, including funding source
and project cost.
