  1.2             relating to human services; authorizing a statewide 
  1.3             study related to in-home services to disabled 
  1.4             children; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [STATEWIDE STUDY OF IN-HOME SERVICES PROVIDED 
  1.7   TO DISABLED CHILDREN.] 
  1.8      The commissioner of human services shall conduct a 
  1.9   statewide study to determine if disabled children of color are 
  1.10  denied in-home services more frequently from county social 
  1.11  service systems under Minnesota Statutes, section 245.4876, and 
  1.12  chapter 256B than other disabled children with similar needs. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.14     $....... is appropriated from the general fund for fiscal 
  1.15  year 1996 to the commissioner of human services for the purposes 
  1.16  of section 1.
