A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for certain postsecondary student
transportation.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin POSTSECONDARY STUDENT TRANSPORTATION;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2017 are
appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of transportation for grants to
transit providers located outside of the metropolitan area, as defined in Minnesota Statutes,
section 473.121, subdivision 2, to offset the costs of providing transit service to students
attending a public postsecondary institution.
