  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; appropriating money 
  1.3             to the city of Columbia Heights for various projects; 
  1.4             authorizing state bonds. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [COLUMBIA HEIGHTS.] 
  1.7      The amounts in this section are appropriated from the bond 
  1.8   proceeds fund to the city of Columbia Heights for the following 
  1.9   projects: 
  1.10     (1) $1,000,000 is to replace or repair the city's water 
  1.11  distribution system; 
  1.12     (2) $30,000 is to replace the exhaust system for the 
  1.13  municipal service center; 
  1.14     (3) $100,000 is for Central Avenue streetscape 
  1.15  improvements; 
  1.16     (4) $75,000 is for replacement of the roof of Murzyn Hall; 
  1.17  and 
  1.18     (5) $50,000 is for replacement of the roof of the municipal 
  1.19  library. 
  1.20     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.21     To provide the money appropriated in this act from the bond 
  1.22  proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of the 
  1.23  governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an amount 
  1.24  up to $1,255,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the 
  1.25  effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  2.1   16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  2.2   4 to 7. 
  2.3      Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.4      This act is effective the day following final enactment.
