  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education funding; authorizing a grant to 
  1.3             independent school district No. 659, Northfield, for 
  1.4             the Northfield community resource center; 
  1.5             appropriating money. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER.] 
  1.8      (a) $150,000 in fiscal year 2000 is appropriated from the 
  1.9   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.10  learning for a grant to independent school district No. 659, 
  1.11  Northfield, for the Northfield community resource center. 
  1.12     (b) This appropriation is available to establish a 
  1.13  collaborative community resource center.  The Northfield 
  1.14  community resource center must involve other governmental units 
  1.15  and encourage participation with nonpublic agencies, 
  1.16  foundations, and private donors. 
  1.17     (c) This appropriation is available until June 30, 2001.
