  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             proposing an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution 
  1.3             adding a section to article XI; providing that there 
  1.4             is no constitutional right to a state-funded abortion. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT.] 
  1.7      An amendment to the Minnesota Constitution adding a new 
  1.8   section to article XI, is proposed to the people.  If the 
  1.9   amendment is adopted the section shall read: 
  1.10     Sec. 15.  This constitution does not provide a right to an 
  1.11  abortion funded by money paid out of the treasury. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [SUBMISSION TO VOTERS.] 
  1.13     The proposed amendment shall be submitted to the people at 
  1.14  the 1996 general election.  The question submitted shall be: 
  1.15     "Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to state "This 
  1.16  constitution does not provide a right to an abortion funded by 
  1.17  money paid out of the state treasury?" 
  1.18                                     Yes .......
  1.19                                     No ........"
