  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of 
  1.3             certain surplus state land in Wright county. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF SURPLUS STATE LAND; WRIGHT 
  1.6   COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 94.09 and 
  1.8   94.10, the commissioner of natural resources may sell by private 
  1.9   sale the surplus lands that are described in paragraph (c). 
  1.10     (b) The conveyances must be in a form approved by the 
  1.11  attorney general for consideration no less than the appraised 
  1.12  value of the lands. 
  1.13     (c) The lands to be conveyed are located in Wright county 
  1.14  and are described as: 
  1.15     (1) beginning at a point 910 feet West and 612 feet South 
  1.16  of the East 1/4 corner of Section 14, Township 119 North, Range 
  1.17  28 West; thence South 14 degrees 46 minutes East, 350 feet; 
  1.18  thence South 75 degrees 14 minutes West, 100 feet; thence North 
  1.19  14 degrees 46 minutes West, 275.3 feet; thence North 38 degrees 
  1.20  29 minutes East, 124.8 feet, to the point of beginning; and 
  1.21     (2) beginning at a point 998 feet West and 555 feet South 
  1.22  of the East 1/4 corner of Section 14, Township 119 North, Range 
  1.23  28 West; thence North 28 degrees 19 minutes West, 190 feet; 
  1.24  thence North 73 degrees 19 minutes West, 70.71 feet; thence 
  2.1   South 28 degrees 19 minutes East, 261.43 feet; thence North 38 
  2.2   degrees 29 minutes East, 54.4 feet. 
  2.3      (d) The commissioner has determined that the lands are no 
  2.4   longer needed for any natural resource purpose and that the 
  2.5   state's land management interests would best be served if the 
  2.6   lands were sold to the adjoining landowner.
