A bill for an act
relating to housing; requiring a duplex funding study;
relating to first time homeowner duplex construction
loans.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin (a) The commissioner of the Minnesota Housing Finance
Agency, in consultation with the Federal Department of Housing
and Urban Development, realtor associations, and representatives
of housing developers, shall study and make recommendations on
providing first time homeowner loans to individuals seeking to
construct duplexes.

new text begin (b) The commissioner of the Minnesota Housing Finance
Agency shall submit these recommendations to the legislature by
January 15, 2006.
