A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; appropriating money for grants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
agriculture for grants to the following organizations:

new text begin (1) $....... to the city of Duluth to design and construct the Deep Winter Greenhouse;

new text begin (2) $....... to East Phillips Indoor Urban Farm to convert an existing facility into an indoor
urban farm with space and support for local urban farmers of varying sizes and systems and
for small, culturally relevant retailers;

new text begin (3) $....... to Project Sweetie Pie to develop the greenhouse on Dowling Avenue as part
of the North Minneapolis urban farm campus; and

new text begin (4) $....... to the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities to
rehabilitate the greenhouse at Metropolitan State University.
