A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money to study the feasibility of a
reconstructed interchange in the city of Elk River.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin MARKED HIGHWAYS 10, 169, AND 101 INTERCHANGE STUDY;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $500,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the trunk highway fund to the
commissioner of transportation to conduct a study on the feasibility of a reconstructed
interchange at the intersection of marked U.S. Highway 10, marked U.S. Highway 169, and
marked Trunk Highway 101 in the city of Elk River. At a minimum, the commissioner's
study must include traffic modeling, an environmental analysis, and a geometric design
layout for a reconstructed interchange.
