  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; authorizing Independent School 
  1.3             District No. 2859, Glencoe-Silver Lake, to recapture 
  1.4             its early childhood family education revenue reduction 
  1.5             due to the reserve account limit. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [GLENCOE-SILVER LAKE; RESERVE ACCOUNT LIMIT 
  1.8   EXCEPTION.] 
  1.9      (a) For revenue for fiscal years 2003, 2004, and 2005 only, 
  1.10  the early childhood family education revenue reserve account 
  1.11  limit under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.135, subdivision 8, 
  1.12  is not effective for Independent School District No. 2859, 
  1.13  Glencoe-Silver Lake.  The commissioner of education shall make a 
  1.14  positive aid and levy adjustment for the district in the amount 
  1.15  originally reduced under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.135, 
  1.16  subdivision 8. 
  1.17     (b) For revenue for fiscal years 2003, 2004, and 2005 only, 
  1.18  the school readiness reserve account limit under Minnesota 
  1.19  Statutes, section 124D.16, subdivision 6, is not effective for 
  1.20  Independent School District No. 2859, Glencoe-Silver Lake.  The 
  1.21  commissioner of education shall make a positive aid adjustment 
  1.22  for the district in the amount originally reduced under 
  1.23  Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.16, subdivision 6. 
  1.24     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.25  following final enactment.
