  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to railroads; prohibiting a railroad from 
  1.3             permitting a road or street crossing a railroad track 
  1.4             within New Brighton to be closed for more than five 
  1.5             minutes; prescribing a criminal penalty. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON; BLOCKING OF GRADE 
  1.8   CROSSINGS.] 
  1.9      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 219.383, a 
  1.10  railroad may not permit a public road or street crossing a 
  1.11  railroad track within the city of New Brighton to be closed for 
  1.12  traffic for more than five minutes by a railroad movement or a 
  1.13  standing car, train, engine, or other railroad equipment.  
  1.14  Violation of this section is a misdemeanor.
