  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to railroads; requiring railroads 
  1.3             incorporated in a foreign country to install 
  1.4             signalized grade crossing protection at all grade 
  1.5             crossings in Minnesota. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [GRADE CROSSING; RAILROAD CROSSING 
  1.8   INTERNATIONAL BORDER.] 
  1.9      The commissioner of transportation shall require each 
  1.10  railroad corporation incorporated in a foreign country and 
  1.11  operating a train entering Minnesota from that foreign country 
  1.12  to erect and maintain, at the railroad's expense, signalized 
  1.13  grade crossing protection at each grade crossing that is located 
  1.14  on one of the railroad corporation's lines in Minnesota.
