A bill for an act
relating to liquor; limiting licenses for off-sale of intoxicating liquor to Minnesota
residents; grandfathering current license holders; amending Minnesota Statutes
2013 Supplement, section 340A.402, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2013 Supplement, section 340A.402, is amended by
adding a subdivision to read:


Subd. 1a.

Off-sale licenses; Minnesota residents.

(a) A license for the off-sale of
intoxicating liquor may only be issued to a person who is a Minnesota resident.

(b) This subdivision shall not apply to any person who holds a license for off-sale
of intoxicating liquor as of June 30, 2014.

Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.

This act is effective July 1, 2014.
