relating to state government; prohibiting state agencies from assessing fines on
local governments for violation of state law; proposing coding for new law in
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 15.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

[15.062] PROHIBITING FINES ON LOCAL GOVERNMENTS.

A state agency, including a department, board, commission, or other group in
the executive branch of state government, may not levy a fine against a local unit of
government for a violation of state law.
