A bill for an act
relating to metropolitan government; requiring the Metropolitan Council to
reduce its allocation of regional parks and open space funding to the Three
Rivers Park District.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin METROPOLITAN COUNCIL; THREE RIVERS PARK DISTRICT.

new text begin Notwithstanding any law, policy, or guideline, the Metropolitan Council must
reduce its allocation of capital or operating funding for the Three Rivers Park District by
an amount equal to $372,000 plus any cost overruns related to the construction of the
cofferdam portion of the Coon Rapids Dam project. The council may spread the allocation
reduction over a period of up to four years.
