  1.4             Minnesota center for legal education for certain 
  1.5             programs. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA HISTORICAL SOCIETY.] 
  1.8      $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   Minnesota historical society for fiscal year 1998 to make a 
  1.10  grant to the Minnesota center for community legal education to 
  1.11  conduct the following programs in Minnesota schools: 
  1.12     (1) $....... is for Project Citizen, a program to educate 
  1.13  middle school students to identify, study, and influence 
  1.14  decisions on public policy issues; and 
  1.15     (2) $....... is for We the People, a program to promote 
  1.16  civic awareness and responsibility among elementary and 
  1.17  secondary students.
