  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; exempting certain food 
  1.3             sellers from the food licensing law; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 28A.15, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 28A.15, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 9.  An individual who prepares and sells food that is 
  1.10  not potentially hazardous food as defined in Minnesota Rules, 
  1.11  part 1547.0002, subpart 16, at a community event or farmer's 
  1.12  market on ten or fewer days in a calendar year and with gross 
  1.13  receipts of $1,000 or less in a calendar year.  If the food is 
  1.14  not prepared in a kitchen that is licensed or inspected, the 
  1.15  seller must post a visible sign or placard stating that:  "These 
  1.16  products are homemade and not inspected."
