A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for high-resolution digital
elevation data.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; HIGH-RESOLUTION DIGITAL ELEVATION
DATA.

new text begin $5,000,000 is appropriated from the clean water fund to the commissioner of natural
resources to acquire and distribute high-resolution digital elevation data for areas of the
state that have not acquired such data in the previous two years or to complete acquisition
and distribution of the data for those areas of the state that have previously received
state funds for acquiring and distributing the data. Mapping under this section must be
completed within three years of funds availability.
