A bill for an act
 relating to retirement; adding staff of the Public Employees Retirement
Association as eligible to participate in the postretirement option; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 43A.346, subdivision 1.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 43A.346, subdivision 1, is amended to
read:


Subdivision 1.

Definition.

For purposes of this section, "state employee" means
a person currently occupying a civil service position in the executive branch of state
government, the Minnesota State Retirement System, new text begin the Public Employees Retirement
Association, new text end or the Office of the Legislative Auditor, or a person employed by the
Metropolitan Council.
