A bill for an act
relating to education; complying with the Military Interstate Children's Compact.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. MILITARY INTERSTATE CHILDREN'S COMPACT.
Subdivision 1.
Application.
To the extent possible in compliance with applicable
law, the Department of Education shall comply with the model language of the Military
Interstate Children's Compact Commission.
Subd. 2.
Report.
By February 1, 2014, the commissioner of education shall report
to the legislative committees with jurisdiction over education policy recommendations
necessary to fully implement the model language in statute.
