  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to horse racing; providing for additional 
  1.3             wagering; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 
  1.4             240.13, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 240.13, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 2a.  [WAGERING.] A class B licensee may conduct other 
  1.9   forms of wagering as authorized by the commission, provided that 
  1.10  the commission determines that any additional form of wagering 
  1.11  is consistent with the interests of the horse racing industry.
