  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to occupations; redefining chiropractic; 
  1.3             amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 148.01, 
  1.4             subdivision 1. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 148.01, 
  1.7   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  For the purposes of sections 148.01 to 
  1.9   148.10, "chiropractic" is defined as the science of diagnosing 
  1.10  and adjusting any abnormal articulations of the human body, 
  1.11  especially those of the spinal column, for the purpose of giving 
  1.12  freedom of action to impinged nerves that may cause pain or 
  1.13  deranged function.
