  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; providing education, 
  1.3             training, and technical assistance on drainage law; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; DRAINAGE LAW ASSISTANCE.] 
  1.7      $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the board 
  1.8   of water and soil resources for education, training, and 
  1.9   technical assistance on drainage law, under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.10  chapters 103D and 103E.  $....... of the appropriation is to 
  1.11  develop, in cooperation with the Minnesota extension service, a 
  1.12  cooperative education and training program on drainage law.  
  1.13  $....... of the appropriation is for a technical assistance team 
  1.14  to provide specialized assistance to drainage authorities in the 
  1.15  areas of engineering, environmental assessment, and 
  1.16  administrative procedures.  This appropriation is available 
  1.17  until June 30, 2001.
