  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health; appropriating money for access to 
  1.3             health care services. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $160,000 in fiscal year 2000 and $160,000 in fiscal year 
  1.7   2001 are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner 
  1.8   of health for grants to improve access to health care services 
  1.9   to the Chicano/Latino population of Watonwan, Sibley, Brown, and 
  1.10  LeSueur counties by providing medical interpreting services for 
  1.11  Spanish-speaking patients; for outreach work to help individuals 
  1.12  and families meet their health service needs in these 
  1.13  communities; and for preventive health promotion, education, and 
  1.14  training for individuals and health professionals in these 
  1.15  communities.
