A bill for an act
 relating to motor carriers; regulating insurance requirements for certain carriers;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 221.141, subdivision 1e.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 221.141, subdivision 1e, is amended to
read:


Subd. 1e.

Insurer must be authorized.

A policy of insurance, bond, or other
evidence of financial responsibility does not satisfy the requirements of this section unlessnew text begin :

authorized or registered by the Department of Commerce to issue the policies, bonds, or

is a nonprofit organization that is exempt from taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the
