A bill for an act
 relating to state government; authorizing the forgiveness of certain loans made by
veterans organizations using lawful gambling proceeds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin LOAN FORGIVENESS.

new text begin The obligation of congressionally chartered veterans organizations to repay amounts
loaned from lawful gambling funds for emergency expenditures under Laws 2020, First
Special Session chapter 6, section 2, paragraph (a), and any interest on those amounts loaned
is forgiven. The director of the Gambling Control Board shall consider these loans repaid.
