  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing the sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited lands that border public water 
  1.4             in Sherburne county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; SHERBURNE COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.8   282.018, subdivision 1, Sherburne county may sell the 
  1.9   tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in 
  1.10  paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota 
  1.11  Statutes, chapter 282, subject to any additional conditions or 
  1.12  limitations provided in this section. 
  1.13     (b) The conveyance shall be in a form approved by the 
  1.14  attorney general. 
  1.15     (c) The lands that may be conveyed are located in Sherburne 
  1.16  county described as follows: 
  1.17     (1) That part of government Lot 5 described as follows:  
  1.18  North 200 feet of the South 300 feet of that part of said 
  1.19  Government Lot 5 that lies between the Township Road running in 
  1.20  a Northerly and Southerly direction across said Government Lot 5 
  1.21  and the brook running across said Lot 5 in Section 30, Township 
  1.22  35, Range 26, Baldwin Township, to be subject to reversion to 
  1.23  the state if the purchaser of the land who is an adjacent 
  1.24  landowner, or any successor to the original purchaser, 
  1.25  subsequently sells the land separately and apart from the 
  2.1   adjacent land. 
  2.2      (2) That part of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of 
  2.3   Section 24, Township 35, Range 27, described as follows:  
  2.4   Beginning at a point on the East Line of said Northeast Quarter 
  2.5   894 feet South of the Northeast Corner of said Northeast 
  2.6   Quarter; thence in a Southwesterly direction to a point on the 
  2.7   West Line of said East Half of Northeast Quarter a distance of 
  2.8   756 feet North of the Southwest corner of said East Half of 
  2.9   Northeast Quarter; thence South along said West Line a distance 
  2.10  of 756 feet to the Southwest corner thereof; thence East along 
  2.11  said South Line of said East Half of Northeast Quarter to the 
  2.12  Southeast Corner of said East Half of Northeast Quarter; thence 
  2.13  North along said East Line to the point of beginning, excepting 
  2.14  therefrom the following described tract:  Beginning at the 
  2.15  Southeast corner of said East Half of Northeast Quarter; thence 
  2.16  North along the East Line of said East Half of Northeast Quarter 
  2.17  a distance of 650 feet; thence West parallel with the South Line 
  2.18  thereof a distance of 580 feet; thence South parallel with the 
  2.19  East Line of Northeast Quarter a distance of 650 feet to the 
  2.20  South Line thereof; thence East along said South Line a distance 
  2.21  of 580 feet to the point of beginning.  This parcel is to be 
  2.22  subject to reversion to the state if any of the following events 
  2.23  occur: 
  2.24     (i) permanent buildings are built on the land; or 
  2.25     (ii) fill is placed on the land. 
  2.26     (3) That part of Government Lot 3, Section 3, Township 34, 
  2.27  Range 29, lying North of the Elk River, Clear Lake Township, to 
  2.28  be subject to reversion to the state if any of the following 
  2.29  events occur: 
  2.30     (i) permanent buildings are built on the land; or 
  2.31     (ii) fill is placed on the land. 
  2.32     (4) Lot 25, Block 1, Ann Lake Beach in Section 15, Township 
  2.33  34, Range 29, Orrock Township, to be subject to reversion to the 
  2.34  state if the purchaser of the land who is an adjacent landowner, 
  2.35  or any successor to the original purchaser, subsequently sells 
  2.36  the land separately and apart from the adjacent land. 
  3.1      (5) The East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, 
  3.2   Township 35 North, Range 29 West in Palmer Township. 
  3.3      (6) Outlot A, Second Fremont Lake Shores, Section 9, 
  3.4   Township 34, Range 26, City of Zimmerman, to be subject to 
  3.5   reversion to the state if any of the following events occur: 
  3.6      (i) fill is placed on the land; or 
  3.7      (ii) the purchaser of the land who is an adjacent 
  3.8   landowner, or any successor to the original purchaser, 
  3.9   subsequently sells the land separately and apart from the 
  3.10  adjacent land. 
  3.11     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  3.12  management interests would best be served if these lands were 
  3.13  returned to private ownership. 
  3.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  3.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
