  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; MILAN GRANT.] 
  1.7      The sums in this section are appropriated from the general 
  1.8   fund to the department of education for a grant to independent 
  1.9   school district No. 128, Milan, for the fiscal years designated: 
  1.10       $136,000       .....     1996 
  1.11       $136,000       .....     1997 
  1.12     The grant must be used to reduce the district's operating 
  1.13  debt.
