  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; allowing consolidating 
  1.3             independent school district Nos. 21, Audubon, and 24, 
  1.4             Lake Park, to elect school board members from 
  1.5             multimember districts. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [LAKE PARK-AUDUBON CONSOLIDATION PROVISION.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 122.23 and 
  1.9   205A.12, independent school district No. 21, Audubon, and 
  1.10  independent school district No. 24, Lake Park, as part of an 
  1.11  agreement to consolidate according to section 122.23, may agree 
  1.12  to provide for two multimember election districts, with each 
  1.13  district entitled to elect three members of the board of the 
  1.14  consolidated district.
