  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the Minnesota river basin. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.6      (a) $125,000 for fiscal year 2000 and $125,000 for fiscal 
  1.7   year 2001 are appropriated from the general fund to the board of 
  1.8   water and soil resources for a grant to the Minnesota river 
  1.9   basin joint powers board to provide for administration of the 
  1.10  board and to coordinate implementation of the natural resources 
  1.11  initiatives in the Minnesota river basin. 
  1.12     (b) $100,000 for fiscal year 2000 and $100,000 for fiscal 
  1.13  year 2001 are appropriated from the general fund to the board of 
  1.14  water and soil resources for a grant to the Minnesota river 
  1.15  basin data center at Mankato State University.  These 
  1.16  appropriations must be matched by $100,000 in nonstate money and 
  1.17  $100,000 in in-kind contributions.
