  1.2             relating to education; providing funding for the 
  1.3             Minnesota Homework Helpline; appropriating money; 
  1.4             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.5             chapter 124. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [124.325] [MINNESOTA HOMEWORK HELPLINE 
  1.8   APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.9      An amount not to exceed $125,000 in fiscal year 1996 and 
  1.10  each fiscal year thereafter is appropriated from the general 
  1.11  fund to the commissioner of education for the Minnesota Homework 
  1.12  Helpline.  The appropriated amount is contingent upon the match 
  1.13  of $1 in the previous year from private sources for each $1 of 
  1.14  the appropriation.  The commissioner of education must certify 
  1.15  receipt of the money or documentation for the private matching 
  1.16  funds.
