  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to state obligations; authorizing listing of 
  1.3             state obligations; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, 
  1.4             section 16A.672, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 16A.672, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 12.  [EXCHANGE LISTING.] The commissioner may provide 
  1.9   for listing of any bonds or certificates of indebtedness on an 
  1.10  exchange or similar arrangement to facilitate their sale and 
  1.11  exchange in the secondary market. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment 
  1.14  and applies to state bonds and certificates of indebtedness, 
  1.15  regardless of whether they were issued on, before, or after that 
  1.16  date.
