A bill for an act
relating to health; appropriating money for a statewide deaf and hard-of-hearing
mentor program for families of infants and children that have a hearing loss.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

$80,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of human services
for the biennium beginning July 1, 2007, for the purpose of providing mentors who have a
hearing loss to parents of newly identified infants and children with hearing loss.
