  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; directing the state board of 
  1.3             education to create a community education director 
  1.4             license for persons serving in small school districts. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [COMMUNITY EDUCATION DIRECTOR LICENSE; SMALL 
  1.7   SCHOOL DISTRICTS.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding any law or rule to the contrary, the state 
  1.9   board of education must make available a community education 
  1.10  director license to allow a person holding a six-year or special 
  1.11  administrator's license to serve as a director of community 
  1.12  education in a school district with 1,000 or fewer students 
  1.13  enrolled full time in the district. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
