  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; removing certain 
  1.3             requirements relating to fish taken in Canada; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 97A.531, 
  1.5             subdivision 1; repealing Minnesota Statutes 1994, 
  1.6             section 97A.531, subdivisions 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 97A.531, 
  1.9   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.10     Subdivision 1.  [SHIPPING COUPONS GENERAL.] A person may 
  1.11  ship, within or out of the state, wild animals lawfully taken 
  1.12  and possessed in Canada and that have lawfully entered the state.
  1.13  The shipment must have the shipping coupons required for a 
  1.14  shipment originating in the province where the animals were 
  1.15  taken.  Fish that are lawfully taken and possessed in Canada may 
  1.16  be brought into the state and may be transported within the 
  1.17  state or out of the state. 
  1.18     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.19     Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 97A.531, subdivisions 2, 
  1.20  3, 4, 5, and 6, are repealed. 
  1.21     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.22     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  1.23  enactment.
