  1.2             relating to highways; appropriating money for 
  1.3             constructing a highway pedestrian bridge over marked 
  1.4             trunk highway No. 36 in North St. Paul. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [BRIDGE ON HIGHWAY 36 IN NORTH ST. PAUL.] 
  1.7      $700,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1998 from the 
  1.8   general fund to the commissioner of natural resources for a 
  1.9   pedestrian and bicycle bridge in the city of North St. Paul over 
  1.10  marked trunk highway No. 36 to connect to the gateway segment of 
  1.11  the Willard Munger state trail.  The commissioner of 
  1.12  transportation must cooperate with the commissioner of natural 
  1.13  resources in the design and construction of the bridge.
