  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale and 
  1.3             conveyance of certain tax-forfeited lands that border 
  1.4             public water in LeSueur county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; LESUEUR COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, LeSueur county may sell by 
  1.11  private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that 
  1.12  is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.  
  1.14     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.15  attorney general for the fair market value as determined by the 
  1.16  LeSueur county board of commissioners. 
  1.17     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in LeSueur county 
  1.18  and is described as: 
  1.19     That part of Government Lot 7, Section 35, Township 109 
  1.20     North, Range 24 West, described as follows:  Commencing at 
  1.21     a point 1165.40 feet North and 1465.20 feet East of the 
  1.22     west quarter corner of said Section 35; thence North 55 
  1.23     degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 524.80 feet to the 
  1.24     southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 2, ROEMHILDTS WATERS EDGE 
  1.25     ADDITION, according to the recorded plat thereof; thence 
  2.1      North 70 degrees 37 minutes 00 seconds West 77.63 feet 
  2.2      along the south line of said Lot 6 to the point of 
  2.3      beginning; thence continuing North 70 degrees 37 minutes 00 
  2.4      seconds West 234.12 feet along the south line of Lots 6 and 
  2.5      5, said Block 2 to a southeasterly line of said Lot 5; 
  2.6      thence South 29 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 66.00 
  2.7      feet along said southeasterly line of Lot 5; thence South 
  2.8      70 degrees 37 minutes 00 seconds East 234.12 feet; thence 
  2.9      North 29 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East 66.00 feet to 
  2.10     the point of beginning. 
  2.11     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.12  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  2.13  returned to private ownership. 
  2.14     Sec. 2.  [CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC 
  2.15  WATER; LESUEUR COUNTY.] 
  2.16     (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45, 
  2.17  282.01, subdivision 1a, and 282.018, subdivision 1, and upon the 
  2.18  recommendation of the LeSueur county board, the commissioner of 
  2.19  revenue shall convey by deed the tax-forfeited land bordering 
  2.20  public water described in paragraph (c) to the commissioner of 
  2.21  natural resources, after payment of fair market value for the 
  2.22  land to the county. 
  2.23     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  2.24  attorney general and shall release the land from the trust in 
  2.25  favor of LeSueur county. 
  2.26     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in LeSueur county 
  2.27  and is described as: 
  2.28     That part of Government Lots 7 and 6, Section 35, Township 
  2.29     109 North, Range 24 West, described as follows:  Commencing 
  2.30     at a point 1165.40 feet North and 1465.20 feet East of the 
  2.31     west quarter corner of said Section 35 and the point of 
  2.32     beginning; thence North 55 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds 
  2.33     West 524.80 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 2, 
  2.34     ROEMHILDTS WATERS EDGE ADDITION, according to the recorded 
  2.35     plat thereof; thence North 70 degrees 37 minutes 00 seconds 
  2.36     West 77.63 feet along the south line of said Lot 6; thence 
  3.1      South 29 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 66.00 feet; 
  3.2      thence South 70 degrees 37 minutes 00 seconds East 77.63 
  3.3      feet; thence South 55 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East 
  3.4      315.80; thence South 29 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 
  3.5      190 feet, more or less, to the water's edge of Frances 
  3.6      Lake; thence southeasterly along the water's edge of said 
  3.7      lake to a point South of the point of beginning; thence 
  3.8      North 190 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
