A bill for an act
 relating to human services; increasing payment rates for certain substance use
disorder treatment providers; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 254B.12,
by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 254B.12, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Culturally specific and special populations provider rate increase. new text end

new text begin For the
chemical dependency services listed in section 254B.05, subdivision 5, provided by programs
that meet the requirements of section 254B.05, subdivision 5, paragraph (c), clause (2), on
or after July 1, 2021, payment rates shall be increased by five percent over the rates in effect
on January 1, 2021. The commissioner shall increase prepaid medical assistance capitation
rates as appropriate to reflect this increase.
