  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to tax increment financing; authoring Swift 
  1.3             county to establish a redevelopment tax increment 
  1.4             financing district that is not subject to the state 
  1.5             aid offset. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [SWIFT COUNTY; TIF.] 
  1.8      Swift county may establish a redevelopment tax increment 
  1.9   financing district in Torning township to facilitate the 
  1.10  location of a manufacturing facility in the district.  The 
  1.11  district is established under and subject to Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.12  sections 469.174 to 469.178.  The district is not subject to the 
  1.13  provisions of Minnesota Statutes, section 273.1399. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective upon compliance by the governing 
  1.16  body of Swift county with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, 
  1.17  subdivision 3.
