  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of 
  1.3             certain state land that borders public water in 
  1.4             Hennepin county; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SALE OF STATE LAND; HENNEPIN COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.8   94.09, subdivisions 2, 3, and 4, the commissioner of natural 
  1.9   resources may sell the acquired state land bordering public 
  1.10  water that is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining 
  1.11  provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 94. 
  1.12     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.13  attorney general. 
  1.14     (c) The land that may be sold is located on Lake 
  1.15  Minnetonka, in Hennepin county, in the city of Orono and is 
  1.16  described as follows:  
  1.17     PARCEL 1. 
  1.18     That part of the West 15.7 feet of the East 539 feet of 
  1.19     Government Lot 1, Section Eight (8), Township One Hundred 
  1.20     Seventeen (117), Range Twenty-three (23), lying North of a 
  1.21     line drawn at right angles to the east line of said section 
  1.22     at a point 394.5 feet South of the meander corner on the 
  1.23     east line of said section together with an easement for 
  1.24     road purposes over that part of said 15.7 feet lying 
  1.25     southerly of said line and North of the county road. 
  2.1      ALSO, all that part of Government Lot 1, Section 8, 
  2.2      Township 117, Range 23, described as follows:  Commencing 
  2.3      at a point where a line drawn parallel with and distant 539 
  2.4      feet West of the east line of Section 8 intersects the 
  2.5      northerly line of county road known as Markeville and Maple 
  2.6      Plain Road; thence North parallel with said section line 
  2.7      556.0 feet to the shore of Maxwell's Bay, Lake Minnetonka; 
  2.8      thence southwesterly along the shore of said lake 188.78 
  2.9      feet to a point which is 710.1 feet West of said section 
  2.10     line and also the northeasterly corner of land conveyed by 
  2.11     deed recorded in Book 488 of Deeds, p. 237; thence 
  2.12     southerly along the easterly line of land so deeded 400 
  2.13     feet to the northerly line of said county road, said point 
  2.14     being 724 feet West of the section line; thence 
  2.15     southeasterly along said county road to the point of 
  2.16     commencement, EXCEPT the West 70 feet thereof, said 70 feet 
  2.17     being measured at right angles from the westerly line 
  2.18     thereof; EXCEPT that part of the entire above described 
  2.19     premises lying South of a line drawn at right angles to the 
  2.20     east line of said section at a point 394.5 feet South of 
  2.21     the meander corner of the east line of said section, 
  2.22     together with an easement for road purposes over the West 
  2.23     15 feet of that part of the above described premises lying 
  2.24     southerly of the line drawn at right angles to the east 
  2.25     line of said section at a point 394.5 feet South of the 
  2.26     meander corner on the east line of said section, according 
  2.27     to the recorded plat thereof on file and of record in the 
  2.28     office of the Hennepin County Recorder. 
  2.29     PARCEL 2. 
  2.30     The West 15.7 feet of the East 539 feet of that part of 
  2.31     Government Lot 1 lying North of a road, ALL IN Section 8, 
  2.32     Township 117, Range 23, and all that part of Lot 1, Section 
  2.33     8, Township 117, Range 23, described as follows:  
  2.34     Commencing at a point where a line drawn parallel with and 
  2.35     distant 539 feet West of the east line of said Section 8 
  2.36     intersects the northerly line of county road known as 
  3.1      Markeville and Maple Plain Road; thence North parallel with 
  3.2      said section line 556.0 feet to the shore of Maxwell's Bay, 
  3.3      Lake Minnetonka; thence southwesterly along the shore of 
  3.4      said lake 188.78 feet to a point which is 710.1 feet West 
  3.5      of said section line and also the northeasterly corner of 
  3.6      land conveyed by deed recorded in Book 488 of Deeds, p. 
  3.7      237; thence southerly along the easterly line of land so 
  3.8      deeded 400 feet to the northerly line of said county road, 
  3.9      said point being 724 feet West of the section line; thence 
  3.10     southeasterly along said county road to the point of 
  3.11     commencement, EXCEPT the West 70 feet thereof, EXCEPT that 
  3.12     part of the entire above described premises lying South of 
  3.13     a line drawn at right angles to the east line of said 
  3.14     section at a point 494.5 feet South of the meander corner 
  3.15     on the east line of said section, said last described line 
  3.16     being designated as line "A", and EXCEPT that part of the 
  3.17     entire above described premises lying North of a line drawn 
  3.18     at right angles to the east line of said section at a point 
  3.19     394.5 feet South of the meander corner on the east line of 
  3.20     said section. 
  3.21     PARCEL 3. 
  3.22     Commencing at a point distant 447.8 feet West of a point in 
  3.23     the east line of Government Lot 1 distant 376.35 feet South 
  3.24     from the meander corner at the northeast corner of Lot 1; 
  3.25     thence South 82.05 feet; thence South 11 degrees 47 minutes 
  3.26     West 115.38 feet to the actual point of beginning; thence 
  3.27     continuing South 11 degrees 47 minutes West 103.17 feet; 
  3.28     thence South 12 degrees 37 minutes East 71 feet to the 
  3.29     northerly line of County Road No. 51; thence westerly along 
  3.30     said road line 47.2 feet to a point distant 523.3 feet West 
  3.31     from the east line of Lot 1; thence North parallel with 
  3.32     said east line to a point due West from point of beginning; 
  3.33     thence East to beginning, Section 8, Township 117, Range 23.
  3.34     PARCEL 4. 
  3.35     Lot 1, Block 1, Moellers Addition, according to the 
  3.36     recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota. 
  4.1      (d) The proceeds from the sale must be deposited in the 
  4.2   state treasury and credited to the water recreation account and 
  4.3   are appropriated to the commissioner of natural resources for 
  4.4   acquisition of water access sites. 
  4.5      Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  4.6      Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
