  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to traffic regulations; prohibiting certain 
  1.3             barriers across roads, driveways, and trails; imposing 
  1.4             a penalty; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes, chapter 169. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [169.977] [SINGLE STRAND BARRIERS PROHIBITED.] 
  1.8      No wire, cable, rope, or other single strand barrier may be 
  1.9   constructed, maintained, or permitted across any public or 
  1.10  private driveway, road, or trail.  A person who constructs, 
  1.11  maintains, or permits a barrier in violation of this section is 
  1.12  guilty of a misdemeanor. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE; APPLICATION.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective August 1, 1995, and applies to 
  1.15  offenses committed on or after that date.
